Valentine's Day with Goodnight Macaroon

So excited to be back into the blogging world. I took a break from blogging because honestly, I was not motivated to write about just outfits. I want to be more transparent when it comes to writing blog post. I'm super excited to be teaming up with Goodnight Macaroon to bring you this cute Valentine's look.

I was so excited to have my hubby Jesse in this blog post. Today, I will be sharing with y'all how I balance my life with working a part time job to managing my blog full time. Most importantly, how I make time for my boys and my hubby.

Jesse and I met in college and were friends for a whole year until we decided to become a couple. At that point in our relationship we were best friends and knew everything about each other. We dated for 5 years until we decided to say our I do's and got married on September 5th of 2009! We had the most beautiful wedding day ever. We soon bought our first home and decided we wanted to enjoy our new life before having kids. In 2011, Darren was born and he is now 8 years old. Boy how time flies when you have kids. Later in 2014 Derek, our second son was born. When Derek was born I decided it was time to take a chance and start my Instagram page as a hobby who is now my business. I must say it takes true passion from where I started and I am now. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be doing what I love and getting paid for it. I truly feel BLESSED!

Somehow, I became so involved in my Instagram business that I got blindsided and did not know how to make time for my family life. I soon quit my full time job in Pharmacy and took a chance on making my Instagram page a full time business. Jesse and I will be married going on 10 years this year. Eeek, I started thinking how busy life became that suddenly we made no time for each other. I mean after all life happens and you have a job, kids, and a business to run. But where does that leave Jesse and I. We had a good talk, and I told him I wanted to focus more on us this year. Having a balance in your life is important. So from now on we no longer stay on our phones after we put the kids to sleep and make time for us. Staying away from social media daily to make time for us has re-connected us in so many ways that I love. He is my best friend and the most supportive hubby I can ask for. I'm one lucky girl, and my priority before anything is my family and hubby. Trust me, sometimes it's a challenge to stay on top of everything, but if you communicate with your better half daily it helps to make sure you are on the same page. The last few weeks have been amazing with him. We get excited about the little things in life like watching The Office on Netflix and getting a good laugh. We are looking forward to traveling this year since we did not travel last year due to remodeling our home. We love our new space in our home and it was important to make our space a place we love to spend time in. 16 years with my best friend of ups and downs, but somehow we are stronger than ever! I love you Jesse Vera and I still want to grow old with you.
